Steps to reproduce the issue

On a localhost setup via WSL2 (not docker), same origin issue when the application should only be referencing self anyway.

Expected result

Can view Menu item type change tool (popup) selections as per normal.

Actual result

Message inside popup joomlaedge.test refused to connect. See uploaded images for visual reference.

Additional comments

Expectation is that .htaccess should not conflict with server settings. Better instruction on how to setup different Linux server environments, for WSL, in-cloud Linux flavors, etc, especially Apache/Nginx hosts files.
