Steps to reproduce the issue

Set up Authentication - LDAP plugin with the below details:

Host: ldap.leiernet
Port: port
LDAP V3: Yes

Authorisation Method: Bind Directly as User
Base DN: ou=zimbra,ou=people,dc=leier
Search String: uid=[username]
User's DN:uid=[username],ou=zimbra,ou=people,dc=leier

Map: Full Name = cn
Map: Email = mail
Map: User ID = uid

Debug: Yes

Expected result

The user should be authenticated and logged in.

Actual result

I get an error message: "Warning Username and password does not match or you do not have an account yet."

System information (as much as possible)

I don't know where and how should I gather these infos up, sorry.

I just got the system from my previous colleague and just trying to catch up with this Joomla / PHP stuff.
