Steps to reproduce the issue
Install a clean 4.4 and then set the update component to use https://update.joomla.org/core/nightlies/next_major_list.xml
Perform the update
Expected result
Everything works and looks the same as a clean install of j5
Actual result
Problem with some of the icons
Clean j5
Updated to j5
Additional comments
It is fixed by doing a hard browser refresh but that should not be necessary

What's the font awesome version being used in the hash?
it is correct

@brianteeman the problem is that the name of the actual font file is the same and it's not hashed inside the font awesome.css...
