Unable to replicate

I can reproduze this with Joomla 5.0.1

FIRST create a picture with more than 20 charakters (try out up to 80 charakters to reprouce it)
THAN try to rename it.

Have a look at my screenshots
On your screenshot, rename picture 2.jpg up to 80 charakters or more an than try it again to rename it

On your screenshot, rename picture 2.jpg to 2-veryveryveryvery-long-picture-name-really-long.jpg and than try it again to rename it - what tool u use it for the gif?

Unfortunately your gif cuts the most important part. Is there a error-message? But I cannot replicate the issue.

No error Message
The long file name moves the selection area to the left into the area that is no longer visible. Just try it out and make the file name long enough until this bug occurs. Please bear in mind that you do not always have high screen resolutions. So please also try CTRL+

ah - I think I finally understand what you are saying.

When the filename is very long it pushes the dropdown menu off to the left of the screen and it can at some resolutions or screen positions push the menu off the screen completely.

Is that correct?

I can think of a few possible solutions

1. Use css to truncate the display of the filename
2. Change the alignment of the dropdown menu items
3. Separate the display of the filename and dropdown
