Steps to reproduce the issue

With a number of articles in the “Uncategorised” category including the featured “Welcome” article.

When viewing another article (http://somedomain.com/article1) in the "Uncategorised" category use the bottom of the page navigation (next/prev) to get to the Welcome article and instead of getting http://somedomain.com/ the page displayed is http://somedomain.com/index.php/article1?view=article&id=3:welcome&catid=2 which appears to be a different article - or at least is rendered differently..

Expected result

http://somedomain.com/

Actual result

http://somedomain.com/index.php/article1?view=article&id=3:welcome&catid=2

Which is rendered differently

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla 4.6 / PHP 8.0.26 / MySQL 5.7

Additional comments

I have demonstrated the behaviour on two different sites (the second site is at 4.3.0-alpha2-dev+pr.39491). This first site at which I noticed this behaviour also inserted a spurious ul containing a defunct link ahead of the article rendered as http://somedomain.com/index.php/article1?view=article&id=3:welcome&catid=2 which I have been unable to remove. I can give the specific site details if that would be useful.

Or is it the expected behaviour and this is a dumb question?
