We have the ability to add a note to an article, menu, module etc and it would be really useful if you could do the same for an extension. It's not always obvious 6 months later why an extension has been installed and if it might be safe to bee removed.

Example notes

• This plugin is used with component x so can be removed when component x is removed
• Temp use until event is closed
• Adds filtering to articles

The notes field already exists in the database table #__extensions
