The quick icon plugin which displays if there are updates available for the CMS is checking all extensions for updates with its AJAX request. It should only check core updates.

Closing because the &eid=700 is actually hardcoded in the JS. See https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/blob/staging/media/plg_quickicon_joomlaupdate/js/jupdatecheck.js#L50
Michael will create a new PR we a better solution.
