Dear all,
hopefully I don't anoy you with my questions. I searched a long time, but I didn't find answers.
I placed a menu aside (right column) having 3 levels of items.
Top 1-1
Top 1-2
Top 1-3
---Sub 2-1
---Sub 2-2
---Sub 2-3
-----------Sub 3-1
-----------Sub 3-2
-----------Sub 3-3
-----------Sub 3-4
---Sub 2-4
Top 1-4
First level:
The first level is managed via the top-menu (responsive) and a submenu (native joomla).
Being at a first-level item (page) the right submenu is showing the second level (only) (not highlighted).
Second level:
Now being at a second-level page, aside the submenu shows the actual item highlighted and the third-level items underneath.
Third level:
Now being at a third level item the submenu shows the state as described for the first level. Instead it should show the second-level parent item and the actual child item highlighted. (class current, active).
Is this a bug, is there a fix? In my opinion it is a general malfunction.
I would like to cope with it via a template overwrite (mod_menu) but my skills are of a mere beginner.
Setting:
Start-Level 2
End-level 4
Show submenu-items: Yes
Joomla 3.2.3
I looked at Joomla 3.3 (github), but there isn't any solutions available either (As far as I'm able to get it).
Have a look at the website:
http://new.nalanda-monastery.eu/index.php/en/study
Navigate through "study", have a look at the navigation at the right column.
Thank you so much for your help!
Seppppl

Thanks,
for pointing out the place to look.
No, that's not the point. It's not setup. But thanks anyway.

Hi
I am assuming that you are using a split menu and not creating
multiple menus

Just to give it a try:
The top-navi is a component from an extrernal provider.
The menu aside is nativ joomla. With its defintion as explained.
The setup is correct.
The output is wrong.
My conclusion > program code is buggy.
Thx,

I'm not alone with that problem.
I guess you haven't tryied to understand where the problem is.

Dear Sir,

I made serveral tests.
If I set "start-item" to "1" every item blow is NOT displayed when active.
That means either second or third or fourth level, or start-item set to
"2", it doesn't matter,
The itmes are not shown, when "active".
It looks like a bug.
I need a veryfication of somebody from the Joomla team, who is willing
to take a serios look at it.
Please help me to fix that issue.
Thanks alot,
Seppppl
