Additional comments

I am just referencing here the table create statement
there are serveral others SQL statements that are not in the component that are in the joomla.sql but I am aware that in Joomla 4 this component is going to become decoupled (or it should)
I can supply the other statements that are missing if required. I personally would like to see them in the component if possible. I am going to use it as a reference componenet.

this is used when someone uninstalls the com_contact component and then wants to re-install.

they need to do this via the discover method:

upload full joomla zip contents over the users website (to replace deleted files)
run discover to find the missing component
install

The UCM statements are never dropped when com_contact is uninstalled so these are not required when re-installing.

p.s. com_contacts would be great as an official extension on thge JED. 😄 . People could use this as really good reference component (thats for another issue/ticket)

Hmm why do we still ship that files? Would't it make more sense to just remove them from now?

In Joomla 4 they could be removed because it is not possible anymore to uninstall com_contacts. In J3 I‘m not sure, maybe we should keep them and maintain them.
