[#3053] - Alternative article layout for category menu item

It is not possible to set an alternative article layout for articles linked from the category view (i.e. blog or list). I would expect there to be an 'Alternative Layout' field in the Options tab of the menu item, in keeping with other alternative layout fields? Or is there another way it's supposed to be done?
