Good morning,
I'm currently using J! 3.2.1 and think I may have found a bug. I have attached screenshots of the problem as well.
I tried to create a new menu group called 'Menu' and copy over 5 existing menu items from another menu using the 'batch' command. I received a "1062 Error - Duplicate" (bug1.jpg) message and had to return to the Control Panel.
I then went to 'Move' the existing menu items using the 'Batch' command, and this was successful. However, when I checked the new 'Menu' group I had two of every menu so it did copy originally.
I went to add some menus to the new menu items in the 'Menu' group and noticed a lot of new menu items starting with "com_" (bug4.jpg) - I'm not sure where these have come from, but do look like they have come from the main "components" menu in Joomla!. I have checked the new 'Menu' group, and only my new original menu items are there (bug2.jpg). Do you know how I can remove the ghost entries?
If you would like to have backend access to my site to have a look, please let me know. Sorry if the description is a bit sketchy, but I've not reported bugs in Joomla! before.
Thanks for a great product.
Kind regards, Steve
Raised issue on JoomlaCode under ID number 33184, just copied the link from this page because it would of been the third time I've written it. I was asked to raise the issue here from another part of GitHub. I started out following links from the Joomla! home page.
Thanks. Adding link to tracker item:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=33184
I could copy here with no problem.
I confirm the issue in the module assignement WHEN the new menu is called MENU.

Currently, we still track our issues in our JoomlaCode Issue Tracker found here: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemBrowse&tracker_id=8103
Can you please open a tracker item there and either close this one here or reference it in the tracker and put the trackeritem here?
