Steps to reproduce the issue
Start to install a J4 Nightly
Focus on some elements
Expected result
No elements shift (wrong for UX)
Actual result
A span is pushing elements away
Additional comments
To obtain the expected result I have added a float:right (and a margin) to the span that contain the "Please fill in this field".
I don't think it's the correct thing to do. There is an upstream problem related to the fact that "flexbox" has not been used and therefore everything is positioned relatively.

I took another look at this.
Moving the message below the field doesnt solve the problem as it just moves a different field
Moving the message to the right of the label doesnt solve the problem as the length of the label and message might be too long to fit on a single line. (remember we have to address all languages)
Maybe a "fixed height" empty space (div) can be allocated (below the field for example) to prevent shifting when the message appears (in the same allocated space).

As the installer has changed now in j6 with the language selection dropwopdn for installation removed and replaced with a modal is this still an issue?
