We have it for each other extern library. Like FOF, PHPMailer, ..
The question is more: Why not this one?

It's standard practice for us to have third party libraries listed. Note that PHPMailer and SimplePie get the same treatment. For consistency's sake, might as well do it here too.

Thanks @mbabker, @Bakual and @betweenbrain 
Why do you feel that there should be an entry in the extension manager for PHPass? As it isn't an extension, I don't see the need.
