[#24914] - Install from Web not conncting - new report

Steps to reproduce the issue: Open Extensions:Install. go to default option of Install from Web
Expected result: Displays a range of extensions
Actual result: Hangs for a while then displays : Can't connect to the Joomla! server. Please try again later.
System information (as much as possible): Joomla 3.9.6
Additional comments: Problem exists in both Firefox and MS Edge. Have now tried this a number of times with both browsers over more than 24 hrs

For the record with a public blog post I've updated the IFW server to have an offline message until things are back to normal.
Thanks for letting us know. It coincided with a totally separate install problem I was having and to begin with I thought it might be related.
Not sure what you mean by ‘offline message’ in this context. I’m still getting the ‘Can’t connect’ message rather than something to say the Install from Web service is currently down for maintenance.
