Steps to reproduce the issue

When developing a component for the Joomla! administrator area, create a new toolbar button using the joomla.toolbar.popup layout. Set your server's error reporting settings to development and display errors.

Expected result

The toolbar would look normal and no PHP notices would be present.

Actual result

The toolbar looks much taller than normal. Upon inspecting the rendered HTML source, you will find a PHP notice that reads 'Notice: Undefined index: doTask in /path_to_my_site/layouts/joomla/toolbar/popup.php on line 14"

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla! 3.8.12 running on PHP 7.2

Please delete this issue. I tried to but cannot. Started working on it for someone else in the office that asked me to post it and found that it is likely an issue with their code. The tutorial they found omitted a parameter. Asking the tutorial writer to update.
