Steps to reproduce the issue

Create or edit menu item.
Select "Show Title" in menu "Options".

Expected result

Article title is displayed.

Actual result

No title is displayed unless "Show Author" is also set to "Show"

System information (as much as possible)

VPS Server; Joomla! 3.7.5; default editor; only additional software is Virtuemart and Themler;

Additional comments

I've tested with another of my sites on the same server which has quite a bit of additional software, and that project articles respond accordingly. The site with next to no additional software (basically) will not respond to show the title unless "Show Author" is also set to "Show". The site where "Show Title" is not working independently is a new installation.
The only reason I was able to figure out that "Show Author" configuration to make the title show is because I was reading a "how to" from Inomotionhosting - http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joomla-3/article-options/show-title

Brian,

Thanks for that. This is a first. After all the sites that I've created
over the many years with Joomla, this is the first time a template has
been in the way. It's a template built with Themler. So I have plenty of
ways to get a resolve since they actually respond.

I went and changed to Prostar and you were right.

But the bottom line is, you were right. I would never have thought that
would happen with Joomla. I've been working on a WordPress site and
"that" would be the norm for a template, and is frustrating since most
of the software is fighting in that WordPress project.

Thanks.
Thomas
