In the new version 3.1.4 i find the fantastic option to edit the article in menu-item.
There you can choose the menu item and the article and after saving the edit button comes.
But if i click the edit button my editor (joomlackeditor) is not loading and the screen does not look like i am used to it whet editing an article in the backend.
I upgraded from 3.1 and i use components:
admin tools
akeeba
nonumbers
rsform
rsfinder
acymailing
jck manager and jck editor
I do not think it has something to do with the components but maybe handy to know ;-)
Good luck and thanks for all the nice work!
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I tested it with the original and it worked.
It was a bug of a third party editor.
So my bad.

First, please update to 3.1.5
Concerning this question: editing the article via the Edit button is set to open in a new window without the Admin headers.
This was done on purpose instead of loading in a a modal as otherwise we would have got modals inside the modal when using for example the Images button.
This works OK with TinyMCE. Not tested with 3pd editors.
