Hi, while doing some tests because another issue think found a bug in joomla login.

Steps to reproduce the issue

• use latest 3.7.2 with default joomla install
• in global config: "Search Engine Friendly URLs" YES | Use URL Rewriting: NO
• try login in /index.php/component/users/ - Problem! 404 error message /index.php/component/users/?task=user.login&Itemid=102
  Invalid controller: name='user', format=''

Expected result

User logged in.

Actual result

No login (404 error)

System information (as much as possible)

PHP 7.0.18
Joomla 3.7.2

Additional comments

Also happens in 3.7.0 and 3.7.1
3.6.5 works fine
also checked with code of #16210 - same result

Update: is only one bug the other was my server config sorry (removed)
