I also think as @Bakual that the red alert is absolutely fine to transport the urgency properly.
IMHO this issue can be closed, no changes needed here.

I submitted the patch at the request of Jaques Rentzke who felt it was a bug to call it an "error" message. I should have made that comment in the description but I was working quickly and it didn't dawn on me. As long as everyone is ok with that misnomer though then it is fine by me.
Imho, it's absolutely fine to show a red message.
While nothing breaks currently, it should still catch the attention of the user instantly and he should feel urged to act.
