Sorry I am not sure what you mean. The only option in global configuration
I can see is to chose if you should display the Joomla VERSION or not. And
that is working correctly

Ups, you are right, don' t know why I thinked that there were an option to remove the generator tag, so I was asking why it appeared on the rss. Actually, a search regarding the issue shows several related. But that would be discussion for another day. This could be closed then
